WP2

RESEARCH & ANALYSIS

December 2026 – May 2027

Building the scientific, pedagogical and ethical foundation

WP2 establishes the evidence base for CYBERSAFE. It analyses digital risks, existing safeguarding frameworks and the needs of students and educators before the AI-supported tools are developed.

The results of WP2 will be translated into functional, pedagogical and ethical specifications for the solutions developed under WP3.

2.1 Evidence-Based Literature Review

December 2026 – February 2027

A structured review of existing research on:

Expected result: a consolidated evidence base supporting the CYBERSAFE methodology.

2.2 Policy & Safeguarding Framework Mapping

December 2026 – March 2027

The partnership will examine relevant European and national frameworks concerning:

child protection · digital safety · data protection · GDPR · education policy · responsible AI

The analysis will ensure that the future CYBERSAFE tools are aligned with legal, ethical and safeguarding requirements.

2.3 Baseline Survey

January – May 2027

Students and teachers in participating schools will contribute to the initial evidence base through structured surveys.

The baseline will assess:

Target participation

18 pilot schools

100 teachers

approximately 750 students

The Application sets minimum response targets of 70% for teachers and 60% for students.

2.4 Needs Assessment & AI Design Specification

February – May 2027

Research findings will be translated into a practical blueprint for the technological and educational development phase.

The report will define:

Expected result: a validated technical and pedagogical specification guiding WP3.

2.5 TPM1 — Research Validation & AI Design Alignment

Slovakia — January 2027

The first Transnational Project Meeting will allow partners to review the research framework, align methodological approaches and coordinate the transition towards AI development.

WP2 RESULT

A validated research, safeguarding and design framework for the CYBERSAFE AI-supported toolkit.
